I built a website for the simple purpose of helping people develop true friendship. People are matched according to their interests, location, and other criteria. The potential for this website to boom is fantastic considering 25% of Americans do not have close friends, yet Maslow’s hierarchy shows friendship is the 3rd of 5 basic human needs. Also, the lack of friendships is a world-wide problem. MY problem is I don’t have revenue to advertise my business. Even without advertising, however, over 2,000 people have visited my website and over 1,500 of them have signed up for a membership. Notice that is 3/4 of the people who visited signed up! I am not charging for the memberships. I know people will pay, but I wanted to build a database before I started charging. I also consider the potential of revenue coming from advertisements on the website whether or not I charge membership fees. I know the world needs this service, and I need help getting it out there. So, I am willing to let it go for a good price to someone who can take it and run with it to make this world a better place!
